Food processing: tank and storage container

If you are in the food and food processing industry, you probably need to store various edible materials or materials that are intended for human or animal consumption, whether they are liquid or solid (powders, seeds, flours and others).

It is important to choose the right tank or food container for your needs, starting with determining the size and storage capacity required. You also need to ensure that the material you will be storing in it is compatible with the material of the tank and its components (manhole, valves, vents, etc.).

The density and viscosity of the product to be stored should also be considered before making your choice.

Our different types of food storage tanks

We offer various models of food storage tanks, all of which are very durable and resistant, true to the quality of all products offered by Aco Container Systems for years.

Closed vertical tanks

Closed vertical tanks are constructed of a single molded piece and are suitable for a variety of uses. Conical bottom tanks are also very popular for products that require complete drainage, such as food, since it is important to rotate food products to ensure freshness.

These tanks can be equipped with a manhole, valves, a ventilation device, a flow meter and many other accessories and components.

Open vertical tanks

We also offer a wide variety of open vertical tanks, ideal for mixing of all kinds. These tanks can be supplied with a mixer stand, hinged lid and baffles and fittings.

Customized tanks entirely adapted to your needs

All our tanks can be customized to your needs. We also offer a custom tank manufacturing service to suit even more specific needs.

You will appreciate our speed, our flexibility and our efficient and human customer service.

The advantages of our food tanks

Our food tanks and containers are made of polyethylene (HDPE), a material that resists :

  • to corrosion;
  • to shocks (including low temperature shocks – so they can be outside without problems);
  • to UV rays.

In addition, polyethylene tanks :

  • have a lifespan of 20 years or more;
  • are economical compared to those made of other materials, such as fiberglass or stainless steel;
  • require little maintenance, since they are not very porous and therefore less prone to bacterial growth.

Our tanks comply with Canadian and American standards

Our food storage tanks and containers comply with the standards of the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States.

They are also NSF-61 compliant, making them suitable for use with drinking water.
